Confusing Patterns

A press photo for and with the researchers at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Tübingen. With a relatively small pattern printed on their T-shirt, they can confuse autonomously moving vehicles to such an extent that their control system fails completely. This is of course a starting point for hackers and therefore a major danger for these technologies based on artificial neural networks.
